Booklet printing
Booklet printing refers to the process of printing a small, multi-page publication that is usually folded and stapled to form a booklet or pamphlet. These booklets can be used for various purposes, including brochures, event programs, manuals, catalogs, and more.
The process typically involves:
-
Page Layout: The content is designed in a way that pages are arranged in a specific order. When the sheets are folded, the pages should appear in a sequential order (for example, a 16-page booklet might be printed on just 4 large sheets, each folded in half).
-
Printing: The design is printed on large sheets of paper, usually on both sides (duplex printing). The printer uses the layout and arranges the pages in a way that when the sheets are folded, they create the proper sequence of pages.
-
Folding: After printing, the paper is folded in half, which creates the pages of the booklet.
-
Binding: After folding, the booklet is typically stapled or bound in the middle (called saddle stitching). If it’s a thicker booklet, other binding methods like perfect binding or spiral binding may be used.
Booklet printing is commonly used for marketing materials, manuals, guides, and informational brochures that require multiple pages but are small enough to be conveniently handled, read, and distributed.
